HYDERABAD: Former local council representatives of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) have criticised Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for holding what they termed a flop show here on Sunday.

Speaking at a joint press conference at the local press club on Wednesday, Dr Ayaz Arain, Siraj Rajput, Arsalan Inquilabi, Mohammad Kamran Shaikh and others — who were elected in previous LG polls — said development works executed by MQM’s district mayor late Kanwar Naveed Jamil were on record.

They said that despite ruling the province for 15 years in a row, the PPP government could not complete the flyover named after party chairperson Benazir Bhutto; its foundation was laid by Kanwar Naveed Jamil. They added that the PPP government had created obstruction in the completion of that flyover.

They stated that the flyovers of Tando Thoro and Tando Yusuf had been planned and included in the annual development plan (ADP), but the Sindh government failed to execute them.
