QUETTA: The highly-coveted RDMC (Barrick) International Graduate Programme, launched in July this year, culminated in the selection of nine young graduates from across Balochistan.

The primary goal of this programme is to nurture a cadre of future experts and leaders who will not only fill the skills gap in the region but also champion the Reko Diq Mining Company and their province.

Barrick, as a global company operating in 19 countries, aimed to facilitate cross-border learning among its team members. This provides an opportunity to transfer knowledge and skills while enhancing in-country capability.

For Pakistan, this programme represents an investment in building national human resource capacity for the mining sector.

The International Graduate Programme has a duration of two years, after which employees usually return to their home country to work for Barrick.
