KARACHI: Rangers on Saturday claimed to have arrested 75 suspects and seized 69 water tankers in a crackdown on illegal hydrants in the metropolis.

The paramilitary force conducted operations against 11 illegal hydrants in Ayub Goth, Pakhtoonabad, Firdous Colony, Nazimabad, Manghopir, Jamshed Quarters and Qayumabad.

During the operation, 75 suspects were arrested and 69 water tankers were seized along with 25 water pumps, 12 generators, pipes, electrical cables and other goods.
