Body of missing boy found in water tank

A missing boy was found dead inside an uncovered underground water tank in Gulshan-i-Maymar on Monday, police said.

SITE-Superhighway Industrial Area SHO Mumtaz Marwat said 11-year-old Farman Zaman left his home on Sunday and had been missing since then but the family did not lodge any case. After receiving a call on Madadgar-15, the police launched a search operation and found his body in an underground water tank in Labour Square.

SHO Marwat added that the tank was not covered, due to which it had also been filled with sewerage water.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. If any adverse remarks came from doctors, legal proceedings would be initiated, he said.
