KARACHI: The Oil Tanker Contractors Association (OTCA) on Wednesday claimed that the petroleum ministry has accepted the demand as much as possible in deregulated business to resolve the issues of the association.
OCTA spokesperson Noman A. Butt told Dawn that the government had agreed to the demand for plying old vehicles for two years.
He said the ministry had also given the green signal for maintaining the share of 40 per cent of oil tankers in the white oil pipeline while the association was demanding a 65pc quota.
Mr Butt said negotiations on local and long freights are going on with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
