Time and tide wait for none

This is regarding the article “Time and tide wait for none” by Maria Khoso (YW, August 19). The article focused on time management and the importance of limiting social media usage.

I appreciate the writer for writing on such a fantastic topic and the way she gave emphasis on being mindful of our time, recognising that time is a finite resource that must be used wisely. It’s crucial for all of us to assess how we utilise our time, as the saying goes, “Time and tide wait for none.”

Threatened and endangered

This is regarding the cover article “Threatened and endangered” by Rizwana Naqvi (YW, September 2). The cover article talks about how many animals are in danger of disappearing forever.

This is happening because of things like the destruction of their homes, over-hunting and pollution.

People have taken away a lot of land where these animals used to live, and even creatures in the oceans are affected by human actions. To help all living things, we need to start living in a way that doesn’t harm the environment and all the creatures that call it home.

Rising from setbacks

This is with reference to the cover story “Rising from setbacks” by Mirha Asif (YW, August 26). The writer discussed failures that come in life unexpectedly.

Experiencing failure is a tough time for students, because they have to repeat the same grade while friends also move forward to new classes. Failing exams and repeating the same grade is not the end of life. Every successful person faces failure in life. However, it is rightly said that “failure is the key to success” and the writer also gave some tips to repeaters, such as changing routine, making goals and trying to be positive. Thus, failure is the time to learn many new lessons.

II

In the cover article “Rising from setbacks” by Mirha Asif, the writer addresses the issue of failing in exams and having to repeat a grade. While this isn’t an everyday occurrence, many students experience this period to be challenging and painful.

I appreciate the writer for providing tips and giving hope to students going through this phase. The key message is to embrace failure as a stepping stone to success and one should always learn from their mistakes.
