TOBA TEK SINGH: A group of lawyers allegedly attacked the office of Fesco’s Tandlianwala region executive engineer Ehsanul Haq on Wednesday and held him hostage.

A Fesco press release said that a few days ago a company team had detected electricity theft by lawyers for their chambers.

On Wednesday, `armed lawyers’ stormed the EXEN office and locked him in a room. “They not only tortured but also threatened to kill him,” the press release said. It said the engineer was rescued by staff after breaking the door lock.

Tandlianwala city police have registered the case under sections 506, 342 and 186 of PPC on the charge of attacking the EXEN office against 12 lawyers, including bar president Tariq Salim Wattoo, general secretary Suhaib Mehdi Gujjar, former president Mehr Sakhawat Fatyana, advocates Shahzad Bhatti and Ghulam Mustafa Wattoo.
