SWABI: Two brothers were killed and their sister and nephew were injured when they clashed over a piece of land in Razaar tehsil here on Thursday, said police.

The incident occurred in Turlandi village. When contacted, Altaf Khan, SHO Kalu Khan police station, said the two families had a claim over a piece of land and the situation turned serious on Thursday when they warned each other of dire consequences.

Members of both the families opened fire on each other which continued for some time.

As a result two brothers, Sultan Mohammad and Khayal Mohammad, and their sister and nephew were injured.

The two brothers succumbed to their injuries on way to Razaar Tehsil Headquarters Hospital while their injured sister and nephew were referred to a hospital in Peshawar due to their precarious condition.

The Kalu Khan police station have registered an FIR and started investigation.

Meanwhile, a man and his sister were injured when their rivals opened fire on them at Managi village, Tehsil Razaar, said rescue officials.

On receiving the information from the rescue control room, the emergency medical team along with an ambulance was dispatched to the site of incident.

First aid was provided to all the injured and were later shifted to Bacha Khan Hospital Shahmansoor.
