MANSEHRA: A resident killed his wife and another man in the name of honour in Jashoi area of Kandia Valley in Upper Kohistan on Friday night.

Police said that Malik Mohammad Noorbaz fled after committing the murders. They registered an FIR and started raids to arrest the killer.

Meanwhile, Niaz Mohammad, stated to be a sailor, was killed in Torghar.

He had taken passengers through his ferry from Darband to Torghar via the Indus River where an armed group hiding in the nearby bushes opened indiscrete fire on him leaving him seriously injured.

He was rushed to a nearby health facility where doctor pronounced him dead.

Police said that an old enmity was reason of the incident. They said that as passengers were disembarked from the ferry, the attackers fired at Niaz and he succumbed to injuries before reaching the health facility.

Also, Mohammad Safeer, who was seriously injured in a car and motorbike head-on collision at Babusar Top area of Kaghan Valley the other day, succumbed to his injuries at hospital.

Three people were injured in that incident. They were shifted to Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad.
