KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Tuesday directed police to register a case if a cognisable offence is made out about the alleged disappearance of PTI leader Usman Dar.
A two-judge bench, headed by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto, took up the matter for hearing on Tuesday. The counsel for petitioner Ali Tahir submitted that on Sept 20, the bench had directed the SHO concerned to lodge a case.
However, he contended that SHO Malir Cantonment Police Station has refused to register the case. DSP Ahsan Zulfiqar and SHO Mohammad Wakeel asserted in the court that the petitioner has never approached the SHO for registration of the FIR.
