ISLAMABAD: “Maxime Zecchini gave us beautiful glimpses into what he was truly capable of when it came to playing the piano,” said an audience member attending a concert held to raise funds for environment protection on Wednesday night.

The ‘Melodies De Piano Fundraising Gala’ featured world-renowned piano virtuoso Maxime Zecchini who performed works of Mozart and Verdi, providing audience with some beautiful musical moments. The event was a joint effort of Serena Hotels and the French embassy.

Zecchini also performed the works of classical music by Chopin and Debussy. There was also plenty of light and shade in his interpretations of film music by Leonard Berstein and Michel Legrand.

Inner warmth drew the audience to his renditions of 19th century classical compositions. From then on, he was more settled, which was visible in his performances.

The fundraising gala was an exceptional evening that not only captivated the audience with mesmerising performances but also served a noble cause. All the proceeds from this event were dedicated to environment protection and climate resilience initiatives, supporting efforts to combat climate change and conserve natural resources.

The organisers said the fund raiser was aimed at channeling the power of music towards a cause and raise funds for vital projects dedicated to environmental conservation and climate resilience.

Maxime Zecchini - celebrated for his extraordinary talent and musical prowess - delivered a performance that left the audience in awe. His exceptional piano skills and emotive interpretations had garnered acclaim from audience and critics alike, making him a standout figure in the world of classical music.

Guests had an evening filled with soul-stirring melodies, fostering a deep appreciation for arts while championing the protection of the planet.

Speaking on the occasion, French Ambassador Nicolas Galey said there was no doubt that climate change posed immense mitigation efforts. He was grateful to all guests who contributed to the climate cause. Members of corporate community, diplomatic missions, government institutions and the general public also made up the guest list.

Speaking to guests CEO Serena Hotels Aziz Boolani said Serena Hotels had been a patron of art and culture in Pakistan and always supported cultural exchanges.

“This particular event was all the more special since it was a fundraiser and the proceeds would directly benefit the cause of environment protection,” he added.
