The cover article “Ozone’s road to recovery” by Benazir Raz was a wonderful piece of information as it highlighted the importance of the ozone layer. The ozone layer, like a shield, protects us from the harmful rays of the sun. But, because of human actions, it’s gotten damaged over the years.

The damage leads to problems like global warming and higher sea levels. On a brighter note, there are now more products being made that are ozone-friendly and don’t cause it harm.

One in a hundred

This is regarding the story “One in a hundred” by Eshal Khurshid (YW, September 9). The story addressed the unique abilities of children who may face physical challenges, but possess exceptional talents.

It is important that we refrain from teasing or belittling children with health issues. We should instead provide them with support and encouragement to nurture and enhance their talents.
