KARACHI: Taking strict notice of irregularities in the matriculation board examination results, caretaker Chief Minister retired Justice Maqbool Baqar directed the education department to conduct an inquiry in to the matter and submit a detailed report.

The chief minister was informed that one of the employees of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), who tabulated the results, held two government posts at the same time.

He said that it was illegal to have two government jobs at the same time and ordered legal action against the employee concerned after investigation.

Expressing grave concern, CM Baqar asked how illegal employment or transfer took place in important departments and sections like examinations.

“All possible steps should be taken to make the examination results transparent,” he ordered.
