ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Sadaqat Ali Abbasi finally reached home after remaining missing for a month.

A video circulating on social media showed his emotional reunion with family members.

Earlier, on Oct 3, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Rawalpindi granted him bail in the GHQ attack case.

Mr Abbasi was picked up from outside Parliament Lodges and a petition seeking his recovery was pending before the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The petition contended that unknown people had kidnapped the PTI leader and requested his recovery.

Mr Abbasi, however, appeared before the Rawalpindi ATC and sought his pre-arrest interim bail. The judge allowed the bail against Rs50,000 surety bond.

ATC Judge Malik Ejaz Asif also directed Mr Abbasi to join the investigation and appear before police as and when required. Further hearing on his bail petition was adjourned till Oct 10.
