PESHAWAR: A militant was killed in an exchange of fire between the security forces and terrorists in North Waziristan tribal district on Sunday.

A statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR), the military’s media wing, said the exchange of fire took place in Razmak area.

Azeemullah, also known as Ghazi, was killed in an intense exchange of fire, the statement said, adding weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed militant.

The statement said the outlaw remained actively involved in militant activities against security forces and killing of innocent civilians.

The ISPR said sanitisation of the area was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found there.
