MILAN: Fiorentina’s Giacomo Bonaventura and Nicolas Gonzalez scored second-half goals to secure a 3-1 win at champions Napoli in Serie A on Sunday after a Victor Osimhen penalty had got the hosts back in the contest.

Fiorentina, who opened the scoring through Josip Brekalo after seven minutes, leapfrogged Napoli into fourth spot, level on 17 points with third-placed Juventus, two points behind Inter Milan and four adrift of leaders AC Milan.

Napoli, who on Tuesday squandered an early lead to lose 3-2 at home against Real Madrid in the Champions League, are fifth on 14 points, suffered their second league defeat of the season.

Earlier, AS Roma striker Romelu Lukaku scored twice as they strolled to a 4-1 victory at basement team Cagliari to take the pressure off manager Jose Mourinho.

Belgium forward Lukaku chested Roma two ahead in the 20th minute, seconds after Houssem Aouar had swept the away side into the lead against a Cagliari team yet to register a win since being promoted.

And his fifth league strike of the season completed the scoring for Roma, who sit 10th on 11 points, just before the hour mark in a simple win in Sardinia, seven minutes after Andrea Belotti had added a third.

Lazio are a point behind their local rivals Roma in 13th after Matias Vecino struck late to secure a 3-2 win for Lazio over sixth-placed Atalanta.

With 83 minutes on the clock and the game heading for a 2-2 draw, Uruguay midfielder Vecino let a headed pass from Valentin Castellanos bounce before thumping in a stunning half volley, his second goal in as many games after also scoring in Wednesday’s Champions League win at Celtic.
