An Oregon man and his five-year-old son broke a world record by assembling a Hot Wheels toy car track with 20 loop-the-loops.

Chase Lane and his son, Gavin, decided to take on the record for most loop-the-loops in a Hot Wheels track (supported) after seeing a social media post about the previous record-holders, Tim Trevitt and Mason Gonzales, who built a track with 19 loop-the-loops.

They used cardboard and tape to support their track, which they set up on a set of outdoor stairs in Grants Pass, in about six hours. The duo celebrated after a Hot Wheels car successfully made the journey down the track, looping 20 times.

Peanut, a 21-year-old Michigan bantam hen, claimed the title of the world’s oldest living chicken in March 2023, certified by Guinness World Records. Peanut hatched without an egg tooth in 2002 and was raised by her human caretaker, Marsi Darwin.

With her comfortable lifestyle and a diet rich in yogurt, vegetables, fruits, and vitamin D supplements, Peanut may well surpass that milestone. Her heart-warming story continues to captivate animal lovers worldwide. However, the record for the oldest chicken ever belongs to Muffy, a male chicken who was 23 years old before passing away in 2012.

Wildlife officials in Connecticut said a survey crew caught a massive 400-pound roughtail stingray in the Long Island Sound.

Connecticut Fish and Wildlife said in a Facebook post that the Long Island Sound Trawl Survey crew hauled the massive ray out of the water and discovered it measured over 6 feet long and 5 feet wide.

The crew estimated the stingray weighed about 400 pounds.

“These gentle giants are found along the Atlantic coast from New England to Florida, but are relatively rare in Long Island Sound,” the post said.

The stingray was returned to the water after being measured.

Shannon Manthey, at a Goodwill thrift store in Birmingham, Alabama, bought a flower sculpture for $39.99 that is now being put up for auction with a starting price of $2,000.

Manthey spotted the sculpture of a magnolia flower and branch that she immediately recognised as the work of Frank Fleming, the artist who created Birmingham’s Storyteller Fountain.

The piece was signed by Fleming, who died in 2018.

Manthey bought the sculpture for $39.99, but was sure it was worth far more. She has donated the piece to the Birmingham Zoo’s annual gala auction.
