SWABI: A man was killed and two others injured critically when a tractor-trolley struck a rickshaw at the Maini bus stop here on Saturday, eyewitnesses and Rescue 1122 officials said.

Eyewitnesses said when the rickshaw reached the bus stop, a speeding tractor-trolley coming from the opposite direction struck it, leaving three persons onboard the three-wheeler injured critically.

They were taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, where doctors pronounced Momin Khan, 29, as dead. He hailed from Chaw Dher area of Topi city.

The injured included Safyan Khan, 20, and driver Obaid Khan, 24.

The police registered an FIR against the tractor-trolley driver, who escaped from scene.

Meanwhile, a man was killed when his rivals opened fire on him in Spinkani village of Razaar.

SHO Kalu Khan police station said the deceased, Sanaullsh was on way to a bazaar when his rivals targeted him, killing him on the spot over an old enmity. An FIR was registered against Sardar Khan and Jehangir.

Also in the day, a man was killed in an attack in Panjpir village.

The police identified the deceased as Mubeen Ahmad, and the attackers as Aizaz Ahmad and Javid Khan.
