KARACHI: Engro Polymer and Chemicals Ltd said on Wednesday its earnings for July-September increased 17 per cent year-on-year to Rs2.6 billion.

Arif Habib Ltd said the company’s net income also increased 69pc from the preceding quarter due to higher sales volumes and a lower tax charge.

Along with the result, the company also announced a cash dividend of Rs2.50 per share, taking the nine-month pay-out to Rs5 per share.

Meanwhile, Shell Pakistan Ltd announced a net profit of Rs2.9bn for July-September versus a net loss of Rs4.6bn a year ago. The company also announced a dividend of Rs5 per share.
