ISLAMABAD: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has donated five tonnes of dates to Pakistan Baitul Maal (PBM) for distribution amongst the poor and the needy.
A ceremony was organised at F-9 Park on Thursday to hand over the assistance to the social safety net. Representatives of KSA Relief along with PBM Managing Director Amir Fida Paracha distributed the dates amongst some poor people gathered there.
PBM has also made arrangements for distribution of the dates amongst the poor all over the country.
Speaking on the occasion, KSA Relief officials Taradul Mahjal and Abdullah appreciated the social services of the PBM.
“Our partnership with PBM is too old. We will do all to keep this partnership intact for the social service to the poor and downtrodden,” they said.
Mr Paracha said the social safety net had contacts with national and international philanthropic organisations and making all-out efforts to provide relief assistance to the deserving people. He praised the KSA Relief for its continuous assistance to PBM.
