GUJRANWALA: A joint team of the Gujranwala Electric Power Company (Gepco) and police arrested the guarantor of Ramzan Steel Furnace which owes the company more than Rs 26 million in power dues default.

Since the furnace owner Amanullah was away from home, his son Ehsan, who is a guarantor in the case, was arrested.

This is the second such major power theft case in the Gepco region. Earlier, a known manufacturer of ceramic tiles, sanitary ware and paints was arrested for a major default.
