GWADAR: The dust has settled on the tracks of this year’s off-road rally in Gwadar, which ended in a spectacular finish on Sunday with Jeeyand Hoth bagging the top spot and Nadir Magsi trailing close as the runner-up.

The rally began on Oct 18 and was jointly organised by the Gwadar Development Authority and Balochistan Motor Sports under tight security measures.

The event saw a robust turnout, with racers from both local and international circuits competing in several categories.

The track, spanning 250 kilometres, tested the participants’ mettle with its rugged terrains and adrenaline-pumping pathways. But it was Mr Hoth who emerged triumphant amid roaring engines and flying gravel.

Senator Kahuda Babar, the chief guest at the event, lauded the event’s organisers for the impeccable execution.

Talking to the media, he hoped that once Gwadar is transformed into a smart port city, tourists from around the world would be eager to visit the city. He also congratulated local racers who participated in the event.
