TOBA TEK SINGH: Two unidentified persons opened fire, leaving injured Malik Babar Hussain, in charge of the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) Gojra task force team, on Tuesday, and fled.

According to a Fesco spokesperson, Babar was returning home after investigating electricity theft when the attackers on a motorcycle shot at and injured him in a drive-by attack. He was rushed to the Gojra THQ Hospital, from where he was referred to the Faisalabd’s Allied Hospital.

Toba Circle SE Afzal Kathia said the staff’s morale remains unwavering, and the crackdown on electricity theft would persist until the last offender was arrested.

THREE DIE ON ROAD: Three family members died in a head-on collision between a mini-bus and a motorcycle on Jaranwala-Satiana Road in Faisalabad on Tuesday.

According to Rescue 1122, Muhammad Zeshan from Khunda Mor, Nankana Sahib, was riding his motorcycle to Satiana with his mother Sardan Bibi and sister Rimsha Parveen as pillion riders.

A mini-bus collided with their motorcycle near Satiana, critically wounding all three. They were rushed to the Jaranwala THQ Hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

KILLED BY RIVALS: Rivals allegedly opened indiscriminate fire on the car of Ghulam Yasin Waince, a 60-year-old resident of Chak 84-JB in Faisalabad.

The incident occurred in the Dijkot police station area on Samundri Road, near 258-RB Lamman Pind, on a Tuesday evening.

Mr Waince died while being shifted to the Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital.

Reports said the deceased had an ongoing dispute with a group of people.

ARRESTED: The Khurrianwala police arrested a fake faith healer in Faisalabad on Tuesday.

Abid Ali, who was known as Baba Taj Bangali, faced multiple complaints related to false promises of job placements, arranging marriages as per people’s wishes, and other fraudulent activities involving the use of black magic.

The Faisalabad city police issued a press release that a case had been registered against Abid.

ROBBERS KILL MAN: Robbers killed a man when he resisted them during a robbery in Jhang’s Ahmadpur Sial on late Monday,

Reports said three intruders struck the house of Allah Ditta, who not only put up resistance but also raised an alarm. In response, the robbers fired on him, leaving him dead.

In another incident in the Kotwali police station area in Jhang near the Sultan Shah graveyard on Monday night, thieves made away with cash and valuables from seven residences.
