The many faces of teachers

This is regarding the article “The many faces of teachers” by Mirha Asif (YW, September 30). It was enjoyable to read about the different types of teachers discussed in the article. I’ve encountered various kinds of teachers during my education, most of them have been friendly and open to students’ questions. Some, however, were quite strict and solely focused on their lesson plans, while others used modern teaching methods.

In fact, all teachers play a crucial role in our challenging educational journey. We should express our gratitude to teachers who not only act as our second parents, but also serve as often-uncelebrated heroes of our society.

All humans have unique natures and personalities, and this applies to our teachers as well. Some may be strict, while others are more laid-back, and there’s a variety of teaching styles in between. Despite these differences, all teachers share the same underlying goal — to help us succeed’. Their profession is teaching, and they approach it in their distinctive ways. This has been brilliantly captured in the article “The many faces of teachers” by Mirha Asif.

It’s important that we give respect to our teachers, regardless of their teaching style — be they strict or easy-going. I believe that World Teachers’ Day should be celebrated in every school with various activities, such as speeches, quizzes about teachers and discussions that highlight the role and importance of teachers in society.

Cook it yourself

This is with reference to the Cook-it-yourself section “Three-milk cookie dessert” by Aamnah Arshad (YW, September 23). Sometimes, all you need is a touch of creativity to make an exceptional new dish, and this recipe was all about that.

I gave the recipe a shot, and it resulted in something incredibly delicious, although it was slightly soft. But everyone enjoyed the delightful sweetness of the three-milk dessert.

Respect your teachers

This is regarding the article “Respect your teachers” by Ramsha Mujib (YW, September 29). The writer emphasised that teachers are a crucial pillar of our society and we should hold them in high regard because they not only impart academic knowledge, but also shape our lives and guide us toward success.
