GILGIT: The 25-day-long football tournament, Season 12 of Hunza Premier League, concluded at Karimabad polo ground Hunza on Sunday.
The final of the event was won by Avengers FC after a thrilling match with Calibreon International.
According to the management, Hunza Premier League has been one of the most prestigious and oldest football leagues since 2010.
This year, 20 teams from Gilgit-Baltistan participated in the event.
During the first half of the game, Calibreon International scored the first goal while the Avengers FC leveled the score in the second half.
The second half remained levelled until Avengers FC team took the lead by scoring the second goal.
The event hosted 46 matches in which more than 190 athletes, playing for 20 of the top teams from all over Gilgit-Baltistan participated.
The concluding ceremony was attended by Force Commander Gilgit-Baltistan Major General Kashif Khalil, local administrative officials, politicians, fans of football and a large number of national and international tourists.
The event was sponsored by Pakistan Army and FCNA.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the efforts of Hunza Premier League management for engaging youth in healthy activities and promised his support to arrange such activities in the region.
The chief guest also distributed awards among both the winning and runner-up teams.
Hanif Khan remained the top scorer with 11 goals, the emerging player title was given to Fareed while Naek Alam was declared as the player of the tournament.
