LAHORE: A domestic child worker was found hanged in the house of his employer in Baghbanpura area of Lahore on Tuesday, police said.

While the parents of nine-year-old Ehsan alleged he was sodomised and then murdered by employer Shan Ali, who was an estate agent, the latter claimed that the boy committed suicide by hanging himself.

Police lodged a murder case while nominating Shan in the FIR on the complaint of Ehsan’s mother Nawab Bibi.

A resident of Kasur district, the woman alleged that her minor son had been working as a domestic help at the residence of Shan Ali in Angoori Bagh for the last five years or so.

Employer booked for ‘murder’ on mother’s complaint

She said her brother-in-law, Imran, used to collect wages from the employer every month.

During the last five years, she said, the accused person allowed her family members only once to meet her son at his home.

On the day of incident, Nawab Bibi said the suspect informed her through a phone call that her son has committed suicide. The all of a sudden news landed like a bombshell on her family, she said, adding that she rushed to the residence of Shah Ali from Kasur along with her husband.

The suspected killer, however, shifted the body of Ehsan to the city morgue before they reached his residence, she alleged.

She alleged that her son was sodomised and then hanged by the employer and demanded the police to arrest Shan in the murder case.

The police said a team had been dispatched for the arrest of the alleged killer but he had already fled the scene.
