DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Four militants were killed in a joint operation carried out by police and security forces in the Wazir Kalay area of Tank district on Thursday, according to police.

The militants were allegedly on their way to carry out attacks when they were targeted.

It led to an intense exchange of fire and four wanted militants were killed, the police claimed, adding they were involved in various anti-state activities.

One alleged militant was identified as Shoaib, a resident of the Pai area, while identity of the other was still not known. The bodies of two militants were taken away by their fleeing accomplices. Three SMGs and a huge quantity of ammunition were also recovered.
