LAHORE: Farhat Shahzadi, a friend of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, has served a legal notice to NAB, FIA, IGP Punjab, and the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) for allegedly leaking “misleading” information to PML-N leader Ataullah Tarar regarding investigations against her.

Ms Shahzadi, currently living in self-exile, sent the notice through her counsel following a press conference by Mr Tarar, accusing her of accumulating illegal assets.

The notice contends that NAB, FIA, and ACE do not have the jurisdiction to leak any information about an investigation to any media house or a politician. All assets and businesses owned by Ms Shahzadi are legal and declared in the tax documents, it said.

The lawyer said his client may initiate legal proceedings against respondents in case of their failure to meet the warning given through the notice.
