Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has put forth Pakistan’s demands at a joint Islamic-Arab summit in Saudi Arabia on Gaza.
He emphasised that an immediate and unconditional ceasefire was needed; Israel must be forced to halt its aerial bombardment and ground invasion; immediate lifting of blocks and allowing rapid and unhindered humanitarian and relief supplies; Israel must be reminded of its responsibilities as an occupier to create conditions for delivery of food, water, power and medical supplies to Gaza.
