IIL adds 1MW solar project

As per a press release, International Industries Limited (IIL), Pakistan’s largest manufacturer and exporter of steel and polymer pipes, announces another major stride in its journey towards sustainability, self-sufficiency, and environmental responsibility.

Following the inauguration of its first 1MW solar project at its Karachi factory, IIL recently hosted a commissioning ceremony for an equivalent 1MW solar project at its Sheikhupura production facility. This significant initiative underlines the company’s commitment to harnessing renewable energy sources and reducing its carbon footprint.

“These solar projects are a testament to our dedication to sustainability and responsible environmental stewardship,” said Sohail R. Bhojani, CEO of International Industries Limited. “By embracing solar energy, we are reducing our ecological impact and demonstrating our commitment to a cleaner and greener future for Pakistan and the global community.”

In addition to reducing its carbon footprint, IIL anticipates substantial cost savings over the operational lifespan of these solar projects. The company aims to mitigate rising energy costs and enhance its long-term business sustainability by reducing reliance on conventional energy sources.
