More than 60 mosques destroyed across Gaza

An Israeli aircraft bombed the al-Salam Mosque in the Sabra neighbourhood of Gaza City in the northern part of the besieged territory, Al Jazeera reports.

The destruction of al-Salam Mosque raised the total number of mosques destroyed to 60 by Israeli forces since October 7, the report quoted Palestinian news agency Wafa as saying.

Places of worship qualify for protection as a cultural property under international humanitarian law.
