ISLAMABAD: Two persons were murdered in separate incidents in Islamabad, police said on Thursday.

In the first incident, a man was gunned down by his former colleague in Ghauri Town over a job dispute, they said, adding that the deceased was identified as Zeeshan Bhatti, a cook by profession, working at a hotel.

The assassin worked at the hotel as a watchman, and he was sacked by employer a few days ago, the police added.

In another incident a man was murdered over a money dispute in the area of Sara-i-Kharboza, the police said, adding that the deceased was identified as Karamat Khan, a painter by profession, working at a workshop.

The man with whom Karamat Khan had Rs200,000 monetary dispute and came over the workshop where they had an argument. During the argument the man opened fire on him and escaped.

The injured was shifted to hospital where he was pronounced dead and a case was registered at Sangjani police station.
