SARGODHA: The special judge of anti-corruption Sargodha granted seven-day physical remand of former PTI MNA Amjad Khan Niazi to Mianwali Police in two cases registered against him in the wake of mob violence on May 9 and 10.

Police demanded 30 days remand but the judge granted police seven days remand for investigation and ordered them to produce the former MNA before the court on Nov 28.

The victim was medically examined by the doctors after the incident and the samples were sent for chemical analysis.

It may be recalled here the girl of Tiwana Park was raped the teenage boy who escaped from the scene when the victim’s uncle saw him.

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi reached the hospital on Monday night and assured the victim’s family of justice.

On his instructions, Commissioner Sargodha Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti met the mother and other heirs of the innocent girl at Government Dr Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital and handed over a cheque of Rs1m to the mother of the victim on behalf of the CM.
