Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated in a post on their X account that sanctions should be imposed on Israeli “settler militias and their terrorist elements” as it described them as a translation of far-right ministers Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich’s “racist incitement”.

According to Times of Israel, last night, National Security Minister Ben Gvir warned that any such deal between Israel and Hamas would end in “disaster”.

On Monday, Israeli Finance Minister Smotrich, who also serves as a minister within the defence ministry, demanded that the cabinet be expanded to include politicians “who have cried out for years against this conception, who demanded the elimination of Hamas, including the conquering of the Gaza Strip, in order to remove its threat to the State of Israel.”

“The Ministry calls on the international community to impose sanctions on settler militias and their terrorist elements,” it said in its post.
