Cruelty against caged animals

This is concerning the article “Cruelty against caged animals” by Hanniya Babar (YW, October 21). Zoos play a crucial role in protecting endangered species and providing knowledge about animals. However, the mistreatment of animals in cages has led to a decline in zoo animal population, raising significant concerns regarding the welfare and conservation efforts within zoos.

It is essential to address these issues to ensure the well-being and sustainable existence of the animals housed in captivity.

The article “Cruelty against caged animals” by Hanniya Babar highlighted the dual role of zoos in safeguarding endangered species and promoting animal education. However, the mistreatment of animals in captivity has become a growing concern.

The unfortunate consequence of such mistreatment is a decline in animal population, casting a shadow over the very conservation efforts zoos aim to achieve. The article rightly emphasises the need to address these challenges to ensure the overall welfare and sustainable existence of animals within zoo enclosures.

Zoos must actively engage in ethical practices, fostering an environment that is conducive to the well-being of the animals under their care.

The stress of board exams

This is regarding the article “The stress of board exams” (YW, October 28) by Ayesha Fatima. In my opinion, too much stress of board exams should not be taken and it should only be considered as a new experience in life.

I have also gone through the experience of board exams so I can understand the very stressful feelings, however, I think if parents boost the confidence of the students, they can confidently face any challenge that come their way.

Never take your anger out on others

This is regarding the story “Never take your anger out on others” by Linta Mustafa (YW, October 28). The story taught me an important lesson that getting angry and taking it out on others is not good. When we do this, we end up hurting people close to us.

It’s normal for everyone to feel different emotions in various situations, but it’s up to us how we handle these feelings depending on the situation. It’s better to think before letting our anger out.
