The hidden agenda

Published November 28, 2023

BENJAMIN Netanyahu has his own single-minded ambition to expand Israel, and go for what the Zionists call the ‘greater Israel’. The genocide of Palestinians, as he sees it, is just a small step in a larger struggle. This is what he wants the world to believe, and, more so, he wants his own Israelis to believe. Why? To survive politically in the face of diminishing power base and corruption charges against him within Israel.

United States President Joe Biden, on the other hand, has his own re-election agenda for which he needs to be seen to be pandering to the wealthy, influential American-Zionist lobby. This he has been doing by generously spending the US taxpayers’ money in support of Israel.

And, as many have maintained over the years, the two-state solution guaranteed by the United Nations does not suit Israel. This is because only an Israel subjected to hostility and insecurity will get billions from the US in aid plus many billions of dollars more for its military power.

This is an integral part of Israeli psyche. It wants to be seen as a ‘victim’, and has been successfully keeping that posture which the US administrations have generally found very convincing for their own short-term and equally short-sighted goals.

Besides, peace also diminishes the importance and significance of the powerful Zionist lobby in America, and does no good to the weapons industry. Peace, as such, is a ‘lose-lose’ situation for Israel and the Zionists in America. The US and Europe are being cleverly manipulated by Israel.
