The United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Palestine has said there has been no improvement in the access to water for people in northern Gaza despite the pause in fighting.
In a report released today, it said main water production facilities remain shut due to fuel shortage and damages from Israeli bombing. “Concerns about dehydration and waterborne diseases due to water consumption from unsafe sources persist,” OCHA highlighted.
It further stated that one of the partially operation hospitals in the north, Kamal Adwan in Jabalia, urgently requires supplies and medical staff while Eighty of its patients require immediate transfer to a better-equipped facility in the south for their survival.
