TOBA TEK SINGH: A woman declared a proclaimed offender 14 years ago for murdering a woman was arrested on Monday by Faisalabad CIA staff police in Sargodha.

A police official told reporters that deceased Surayya Bibi of Faisalabad’s Ahmad Town locality had allegedly an affair with Manzoor Ahmad, the husband of the arrested suspect, Musarrat Bibi.

Surayya was allegedly forcing Manzoor to divorce Musarrat and marry her. Both Manzoor and his wife Musarrat allegedly killed Surayya and buried her in their rented house.

After the couple disappeared, leaving the rented house, the Faisalabad Saddar police recovered Surayya’s body from the same house.

Police had arrested Manzoor Ahmad, but his wife, Musarrat, had gone underground and was now arrested in Sargodha.

ACCIDENT: A minor girl died and four others of her family were seriously injured after their car collided head-on with a tractor-trolley on Monday at Gojra on Samundri Road.

According to the police, family members riding in the car were returning home in Iqbal Town from Samundri when the accident took place due to heavy fog.

The deceased baby was identified as Ramal Aqdas, while the other four members of her family, who were shifted to Gojra THQ hospital, included her father Babar Butt, her mother, her brother, and a relative woman.

Doctors at the Gojra Tehsil Headquarters Hospital referred all four wounded people to the Faisalabad Allied hospital. Also, 10-year-old Ahmad of Zafrullah Chowk area of Jahanian, Khanewal, died after he was hit by a trailer near Chak 115/10-R on Khanewal Road.

Witnesses said the deceased was crossing the road, but the trailer driver could not see him due to poor visibility as a result of heavy fog.

In Faisalabad, a bus ran over a motorcyclist, Muhammad Ilyas, on Jhang Road near the Rescue 1122 emergency service station, resulting in critical injuries. He was shifted to Allied hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
