LAHORE: Pakistan’s premier fast bowler Naseem Shah started the final stage of his rehabilitation here at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Wednesday, according to an announcement made by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
“Naseem’s rehabilitation is being continued at NCA, Lahore under the care of a strength and conditioning coach, a physiotherapist and a doctor,” the PCB stated. “Currently, he is doing light gym exercises and partial bowling practice and will start batting tomorrow.”
Naseem injured his shoulder during the Asia Cup — held jointly by Pakistan and Sri Lanka in September — which forced him out of the continental event as well as the World Cup in India.
The 20-year-old underwent an operation of shoulder injury in the United Kingdom and remained there for two months for rehabilitation and initial training.
