LOWER DIR: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Sirajul Haq has that all political parties in the country are led by civilian dictators.

“At present there is no real democracy in any political party across the country,” he told a monthly congregation of his party at Ahyaul Uloom Balambat here on Thursday evening The JI chief said that 20,000 Palestinians were martyred by Israel while millions were displaced. He said that JI organised a million marches to motivate Muslim Ummah but to no avail. He said that his party handed over Rs1.25 billion cash to Palestinians and sent 4.7 tonnes of relief goods to Gaza.

Siraj said that he visited several Muslim countries to convince the rulers to support Palestinians against Israel. “The future of Ummah is connected with the Gaza problem, but still 7.5 million refugees are waiting for freedom in Jordan,” he said.

He said that the nation should trust the representatives his party for a real change in the upcoming elections.

JUI-F: The local leaders of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl announced on Thursday that their party would field candidates for all constituencies in the district in the upcoming elections.

Speaking at a news conference, JUI-F provincial leader Qazi Ayazud Din, district deputy chief Mohammad Huzaifa, Balambat tehsil chief Haji Shakirullah and others demanded of authorities to initiate proper inquiries into irregularities and malpractices in government departments in the district.
