LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has taken a significant step towards fortifying domestic cricket by awarding central contracts to 11 women players.
The move elevates the total count of the domestic contracted players to 80.
According to the PCB, the latest addition in the contracts include one player from the emerging women’s category while the remaining ten players earned their spots based on their performances in the Women U-19 T20 Tournament held in Muridke this past September.
The 11 players securing domestic contract from November 2023 to June 2024 are: Aqsa Yousaf (Multan), Areesha Ansari (Okara), Humaira Ghulam Hussain (Quetta), Kainat Eiman (Karachi), Memoona Khalid (Lahore), Mubeen Ahmed (Rawalpindi), Muqadas Bukhari (Multan), Muskan Abid (Lahore), Saba Sher (Lahore), Samiya Afsar (Lahore) and Shameer Rajput (Multan).
