QUETTA: A gas explosion in a house on the outskirts of the city resulted in severe burn injuries to eight family members on Tuesday.
According to the police, the explosion occurred when a heater, left on due to cold weather, turned off during the night, and gas, accumulating in the house, located in the Sabzal Road area, after the supply was restored, ignited when the housewife turned on the heater in the morning.
The powerful explosion blew off the house’s roof, causing a fire. The victims, comprising a man, his wife and their six children aged between eight months and 10 years, were taken to Bolan Medical College Hospital’s burn unit by the police and rescue workers.
