TAXILA: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has approved the appointment of returning officers (ROs) and assistant returning officers (AROs) of various constituencies in Attock district and Tehsil Taxila for the February 8 elections.

As preparations for the upcoming general elections are underway, the district administration has finalised the lists after approval from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the appointment of returning and assistant returning officers.

According to the official notification, Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza has been appointed as district returning officer; additional Deputy Commissioner General Adnan Anjum Raja has been appointed as returning officer for National Assembly constituency NA-49 Attock-I; Deputy District Education Officer (male) Syed Taqi Abbas; and Deputy Director (Planning) Mohammed Zameer will assist as assistant returning officers.

Furthermore, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Waqas Aslam Marth has been appointed as returning officer for NA-50, Attock-II, while Deputy Director Local Government Hassan Tabbasum and Deputy District Education Officer (secondary education) Abid Khan will assist him as assistant returning officers.

For the provincial assembly constituency of PP-1 Attock-I, Assistant Commissioner Hazro Kamran Ashraf has been appointed as returning officer, while Deputy District Education Officer Mohammad Afsar and Assistant Education Officer (AEO) Abdul Majeed have been appointed as assistant returning officers.

For PP-2 Attock-II, Assistant Commissioner Hassanabdal Dr Sana Ramchand has been appointed as returning officer, while Assistant Education Officer (AEO) Hassanabdal Mehar Ali and Assistant Education Officer (AEO) Fatehjang Waqas Azam would assist as assistant returning officers.

For PP-3 Attock-III, Assistant Commissioner Attock City Shagufta Jabeen has been appointed as returning officer, while Assistant Education Officers Taimur Khan and Mohammad Farhan Nawaz will perform their duties as assistant returning officers.

For the PP-4 Attock, Assistant Commissioner Pindigheb Malik Noor Zaman will perform his duty as returning officer, and Assistant Education Officers Mohammad Imran and Faisal Siddique will perform their duties as assistant returning officers.

Meanwhile, for PP-5 Attock, Assistant Commissioner Jand Arif Qureshi will perform his duty as returning officer, and Assistant Education Officer Abdul Ghaffar and Assistant Education Officer Shahzad Farooq Khattak will perform their duties as assistant returning officers.
