GUJRAT: A youth, kidnapped on Nov 16 from Sialkot, was found killed in Gujrat. Husnain Ali had contracted a love marriage with a 19-year-old girl from a village in Gujrat after developing a friendship on PUBG game.

The police reported that they discovered the body in a forest area near Langay village of Mungowal police precincts of Gujrat a couple of days ago. The deceased was later identified as Husnain Ali from Jasoran village in Pasrur of Sialkot.

The kidnapping case was filed with the Badiana police of Sialkot against Akhtar Ali Jutt of Langay village and four unidentified suspects on the report of Amjad Ali, father of the deceased. The deceased youth and Aimen Akhtar entered into a love marriage on Oct 30.

The complainant alleged in the FIR that Akhtar contacted the in-laws of his daughter, inviting the couple and their parents to a lunch reception.

He convinced the in-laws to leave his daughter with him to arrange a marriage function as per customs.

However, he stated that the suspect did not allow his daughter to come into contact with her husband, and in the meantime, started threatening the deceased and kidnapped him.

The police handed over the body to the Sialkot police.
