RAWALPINDI: Any staff found guilty of misbehaving with passengers at the airport will be held accountable and reported at the highest level, said the director general of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) on Friday.

He made these remarks while chairing the 40th session of the e-kacheri at Civil Aviation Headquarters in Karachi.

The meeting was dominated by complaints related to both foreign and local airlines. Issues included staff misbehaviour, passenger offloading, ticket refunds/compensation, and missing or damaged luggage.

The DG CAA also addressed instances of misbehaviour with passengers at Multan Airport, urging affected passengers to provide specific details such as the date and time of these occurrences to help trace and hold the individuals involved accountable.

The additional DG, deputy DG Regulatory, deputy DG Airport Services, and deputy DG Works and Development, were also present at the meeting.

Other queries included horticulture improvements at Jinnah International Airport, the absence of Egypt Air operations in Pakistan, the availability of Ethiopian Airlines for travel to Africa, the presence of a radio cab company at Islamabad Airport, the designation status of Air Sial and Fly Jinnah for UAE operations, and the installation of directional signs for a facsimile facility at Islamabad Airport.
