MARDAN: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam but Islamic system was not enforced in the country by rulers.

Addressing a big public meeting in Babuzai area of Katlang tehsil here on Sunday, he said that their forefathers got Pakistan in the name of Islam but all the rulers of the country failed to implement Islamic system during the last 75 years.

The JUI-F chief said that their forefathers rendered a lot of sacrifices for Pakistan but they were targeted politically. He said that bureaucracy, parliament and other key institutions had not played their due role for the development of the country. “Our sovereignty and economy are endangered,” he said.

“Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is Ameen in his own personality. Foreign agents are involved in blasphemy. We will foil all conspiracies being hatched against religious seminaries. Seminaries have been protecting people from anti-Islamic and anti-social elements,” he said.

He said that they were standing by all those rules and values, which they had learnt in seminaries.

The JUI-F chief said that all human rights organisations working under the umbrella of United Nations failed in their mission during the dispute between Israel and Palestine.

He said that brutalities by Israel in Palestine ashamed humanity. “What Americans and their allies were doing in Afghanistan during the last 20 years,” he questioned.

He said that the so-called champions of human rights organisations were highlighting beating of students by teachers of seminaries but they were silent spectators over the Israeli brutalities against innocent Palestinians.

The JUI-F chief said that they did not believe in politics of gun and arms. “We will not only protect human rights but will restore and boost economy of Pakistan,” he added.
