TAXILA: A court in Attock on Tuesday handed down life imprisonment on a teenage boy for abducting and subjecting a seven-year-old girl to sexual assault in Daman village in the remits of Rango police of Hazro town in year 2022.

Additional sessions judge Mohammad Zaffar Iqbal Sial also imposed a Rs100,000 fine on the convicted.

The boy had abducted the girl when she was coming home from school.

Police on the complaint of victim’s father had registered a case against the 17-year-old boy and a medical examination confirmed the allegation against him after which he was arrested.

The judge announced the verdict after finding the boy guilty of abduction and assault.

The court ordered that in case of failure to pay the fine, the convict would remain imprisoned for one more year.
