TOBA TEK SINGH: Gojra city police have arrested a maid and her accomplice in a house theft case, recovering gold ornaments and other valuables worth more than Rs3.3 million from them.

District police spokesperson says that the suspect Humaira and her accomplice Javed Ashiq, both of Shadab Colony, Faisalabad, had been recruited as house helps by a resident of Garden Town, Gojra.

He said the duo stole gold ornaments and other valuables from the house and fled away.

The suspects were traced by police through geo-fencing and were taken into custody. On being interrogated, they confessed that they were hardened criminals and would disappear after stealing valuables from their employers’ houses.

ROOF COLLAPSE: Two women and a minor boy of a family were critically injured when roof of theirhouse caved innear Adda Chak 68 JB at Faisalabad on Wednesday.

Identified as Nasira Bibi (23), her son Imran (4) and her sister Sakina Bibi (35), they were rescued by Rescue 1122 teams and locals after removing the debris and were shifted to the DHQ hospital.

ARRESTED: A proclaimed offender was arrested by Faisalabad’s Madina Town police in Sargodha on Wednesday.

A City police official said murder accused Shahzad Akram had disappeared after killing his sister, Faiza, in 2022 over an electricity bill dispute.

He said the police received an information that the accused was hiding in Sargodha.

The police conducted a raid and arrested him.
