Christmas is just around the corner, and with the holiday season in full swing, you feel like you are a free bird, enjoying the chilly winters and festive atmosphere. Taking this opportunity, why not create a Christmas bell wall décor either for yourself or as a thoughtful present for your friend?

The good thing is you can gather a lot of decoration stuff easily from your house, like strings, empty cartons, artificial leaves and flowers.

Things you need:

  1. Cardboard (use any empty carton)

  2. Jute cloth (you can use colourful paper as well)

  3. Jute rope or string

  4. Scissors

  5. Pinecones (if you don’t have ones, you can use nutshells like those of peanuts and pistachios)

  6. Green leaves or stems from any artificial flowers you have in your house.

  7. Ruler

  8. Hot glue

  9. Red ribbon bow (or one made from paper)

Directions:

Bells made from cardboard can be made in various sizes, but as I intended to create one for the wall, I opted for a larger size. You can adjust the dimensions based on the materials you have on hand.

  1. Flatten the cardboard, then draw a bell shape. You can get help from an elder in drawing the bell. The dimensions of the bell I outlined were 10 inches wide and 11 inches long, see pictures 2 and 3.

  2. Cut it out carefully, pictures 4 and 5.

  3. Paste jute cloth on the bell-shaped cardboard with hot glue, pictures 6 and 7.

  4. Begin wrapping the jute rope from the wide part, which is the mouth of the bell. Continue wrapping until the ropes are at least 1.5 inches wide or more, picture 8.

  5. If you have a red or a green ribbon paste it on the rope part, to enhance the décor, picture 9.

  6. Now use the decoration stuff you have, you can use your imagination to come up with something beautiful, pictures 10, 11 and 12.

  7. Create a loop with the ribbon and paste it to the top side at the back of the bell.

This gorgeous bell is now ready for decoration; place it anywhere you desire to add a touch of beauty and festivity.
