SARGODHA: A Shahpur-based lawyer has filed objections to the candidature of PML-N candidate for PP-80 (Sargodha-X) Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The objections revolve around the alleged concealment of assets and the discovery of fake signatures on her nomination papers.

Also, a separate objection has been lodged against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) candidate for NA-83 Usama Ahmad, citing his alleged involvement in subversive activities, such as the May 9 incident.

The complainant, Asif Hayat, is reportedly a relative of another contestant, PML-N’s Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha. Interestingly, in the same constituency, Aamir Sultan Cheema, his wife Tanzeela Aamir, and their two sons, Muneeb Sultan and Muhammad Haider Sultan Cheema, have submitted their nomination papers without facing any objections.

Similarly, Mr Ranjha and his sister Rakshinda Nawaz have also submitted their nomination papers without encountering objections.
